Marking Dialog Objects

Marking Dialog Objects

If one (or more) dialog objects are being edited, they have to be marked initially. This happens in the following way:

  • Individual marking: the dialog object is simply clicked on. A possibly previously existing marking is canceled. The properties of the marked object will appear in the dialog editor window.

  • Marking via windows: After clicking a random clear area in the dialog window in which there is no dialog object and dragging the mouse while holding the left mouse button a dotted frame will appear. All objects completely in this window will be marked (in random order).

  • Additional marking: if the shift- or ctrl-keys are pressed while individually marking or marking via windows then newly marked elements will be marked additionally.

  • Canceling the marking of an object: if several objects are already marked, an individual object can be "demarked" by clicking on it again.

The current marking is indicated by a red frame and the corresponding dialog elements.

If the objects are marked, they can be moved together directly by positioning the mouse cursor over any marked object and moving the objects by left clicking or using the arrow keys.

After marking them, the objects can also be directly deleted by pressing the delete key.

Furthermore the context menu functions are now available.

Note: If several objects are marked the dialog window properties will appear in the properties window.

If the objects need to be "demarked", the dialog window background can be clicked. The dialog object dialog window will then appear in the property window.
