Parameter Groups Definition (PG)

Parameter Groups Definition (PG)

Parameter groups are created via the menu function "File - Create - Parameter Group" (or via the corresponding button). Editing is done by selecting the group and the parameter group in the comboboxes in the main window of the development system. Another option is to use the ePOS explorer.

When defining parameter groups it is important to note whether the PG is part of the current editing logic (=current group) or whether it has a central significance. In this case it should be defined in the group Pool.

Please note:

The location of the parameter group (source) does not mean that the actual parameters are also active there. The parameters are only "formed" when a PG is used in a compound.

The PG parameters have the following attributes:

Column

Meaning

Name

Parameter name, max. 16 characters

Designation

Brief description of the parameter (optional)

Type

Type of data (character string, integer, decimal, logical)

Index

up to 3 dimensions (optional)

Init

default value, initialization (optional)

Unit

Random unit (optional)

Format

Format specification for number representation (optional)

Comment

Additional information, only visible here (optional)

Note: For a parameter group, the attribute Global/Local is not for the single parameter, but for the whole parameter group.
