Parametric page headers and footers (texts)

Parametric page headers and footers (texts)

If the document is to have different page headers these headers have to be created in the first text component of the document. If this component only has one page, the page header will be defined for the subsequent pages as the following:

Definition of different page headers: "File menu - adjust page... - page layout": Select "1. page different".Insertion of a page break at the end of the document (Insert menu - manual break - page break)Generation of the page headers/footers (Layout menu - page header and footer)The use of parameters in page headers or footers can be only achieved through a "Ref-Field" with a reference to a bookmark in the "normal" text as Microsoft Word unfortunately does not allow automatic substitutions in the page header.

If the page header or footer depends on the content of the current page a "FVRef-Field" can be used. For this text has to be linked to a special format template in the "normal" text. Therefore, it is best to generate a new format template from the format template used so far. The following items have to be taken into consideration:

The format template should normally be of the "symbol" type, not "paragraph".
