The ODBC connection to the database entered in the SMP tab in ePOS settings is made with this function. This function can also be used without SalesManager. The number of the ODBC connection is written onto the ePOS parameter SMP_NG.ODBC_KANAL. If the ODBC connection has already been made, the function does nothing. That means the function can be called as often as desired without losses in performance. The use of this function simplifies the use of other functions in the SQL interface.
