Editing the parameter group

Editing the parameter group

The database fields are displayed in the left section of the dialog mask. In this section, a single row or multiple contiguous rows can be selected in order to copy these parameters into the current parameter group.

All rows of the database table for which a parameter already exists in the selected parameter group are highlighted in yellow (Import_ODBC_Tabelle_row.png ).

The fields of the database table are marked as existing even if the datatype of the respective ePOS parameter differs from the database definition. The functions of the database interface automatically convert the data types. It is only important to make sure that, for a conversion of a string into a number, the correct number can be read.

Not all fields of a table can be accessed from within ePOS. If the data type of a field is not compatible with ePOS, e.g. in the case of an OLE object, this row is highlighted in red and the data type is shown as "invalid". These fields cannot be used.

With the pfeilr2_bmp.png button, all selected database fields (or only the selected row with a double click) are created in the parameter group as new parameters with the appropriate data type. The rows marked in yellow or red are not imported.

The position (order) in the parameter group is defined through the current selection in this section. If no row is selected, new parameters are appended to the parameter group.

With the pfeill2_bmp.png button, selected rows can be removed , i.e. the parameters are deleted (double-clicking is not possible).
