Configuration wizard
Configuration wizard
The configuration wizard is used to automatically create a set of rules for configuring a product. The product is decomposed into its constituents. The individual components are described by their characteristics. These features are mentioned in further usage as "Technical features". Since the determination of the technical characteristics is usually too complex for the user, the technical features are assigned so-called application characteristics. The selection of these application features is the basis of the configuration. A typical example of using the application features is the selection of a package in a car configurator. Such a package consists of a long list of individual components.
